Collaborative Movies of Michigan (CMM) is hosting a series of competitions including everything from script writing to acting. These contests are designed to create the movies you want to produce, enter into festivals, and of course most of all download and watch. CMM believes that the best way to find talent and to produce quality films is through you, a society of “artists”. As artists you to choose the direction of all movies produced through competitions and winners you vote for. Contestants will receive giveaway winnings, bragging rights, and participate in the creation of your film favorites. Competitions held select art from; writers, directors, singers/bands, dancers, actors, visual artists and other associated movie crew castings. We celebrate the use of special effects makeup, prosthetics, props, sets, and other creative ideas. All writers, actors, artists, stagehands, extras, have their own voice.

In early competitions, you'll have the opportunity to create webisodes based on specific assignments. You'll show off your skills in writing a short script, staging the scene, filming your webisode, editing the short film, adding special effects, sound and anything else you do to create the best contest entry. Then you'll get both bragging rights and money for your winning entry. If your entry does not win you'll still have a chance to have a dialog with your fans, and to have special recognition awards.

Later you'll enter into script writing competitions for the silver screen. The winning screen play will be used to produce a movie. You will select a director by viewing film shorts representing directing style, and voting on the best directing style for the script. Elements of cinematography will be collected through additional competitions so we pick the best elements for the film. Proceeds from the competitions will be used to produce the independent films. Produced independent films will be downloadable from our website.
